- March 1st (Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Sant) Apocryphonia have a “classical meets punk” concert called Brews, Beauties and Brawlers at St. Olave’s Anglican Church at 7.30pm. PWYC.
- March 5th Canadian Art Song Project have their annual gig at noon in the RBA.
- Crow’s Theatre have a new adaptation of Measure for Measure in the Studio Theatre. Previews on the 6th and 7th, opening on the 8th and running to March 16th.
- Red Snow Collective are presenting Diana Tso’s Carried by The River in the extraspace at Tarragon. Previews are March 8th and 9th with opening on the 11th. It runs to the 23rd.
- Native Earth and Buddies are presenting Caleigh Crow’s The Born-Again Crow at Buddies in Bad Times. Previews on the 9th and the 11th, opening on the 13th and running to the 29th.
- From the 13th to the 16th UoT Opera are presenting Mozart’s Così fan tutte at the Harbourfront Centre theatre.
- On the 16th the VSO are in town with a Brahms and Shostakovich concert at Roy Thomson Hall.
- March 19th and 21st the Glenn Gould School spring opera; Mozart’s The Magic Flute is playing at Koerner Hall.
- March 20th and 21st VOICEBOX are presenting a concert version of Puccini’s La Rondine at Trinity St. Paul’s.
- Also on the 20th the Ensemble Studio has an all Shostakovich programme in the RBA at noon andf the TSO are presenting Mahler’s 4th Symphony with Anna Prohaska at Roy Thomson Hall at 8pm.
- The 22nd is another crazy busy day. Tapestry are opening their new digs with Tapestry and Friends at 7pm and Soundstreams have a concert devoted to the love song curated by Brad Cherwin with music by, inter alia Danika Lorèn who is also singing. That’s in the Jane Mallett Theatre.
- On the 25th at noon in the RBA there’s a preview of Opera Atelier’s upcoming production of Charpentier’s David and Jonathan.
- On the 27th there’s an Ensemble Studio concert of love duets in the RBA at noon.
- From the 27th to 29th the Theatre Centre has Game of Life which is a combination of a play and an AI installation. It;’s complicated so check the link.
- Crow’s Theatre has Jonathan Wilson’s one man show A Public Display of Affection. Previews are the 25th to 27th with opening on the 28th. The show runs until April 20th.
- On the 29th and 30th Confluence Concerts have The Line Between; a concert curated by Suba Shankaran. That’s at Heliconian Hall.
It’s going to be a busy month.
