Here’s a round up of upcoming performances of interest over the next week or so.  Sunday at 3.15pm TIFF are showing Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s films Introduction to Arnold Schoenberg’s “Accompaniment to a Cinematographic Scene” and Moses and Aaron.  The films will be preceded by a live performance of a Schoenberg piece by Adanya Dunn and Topher Mokrzewski.  More details here.

Next week both major student opera programs have shows.  The Glenn Gould School is doing Piccinni’s (yes that’s an “i” not a “u”) La Cecchina.  The cast, led by Jonelle Sills, looks really good.  It plays at Koerner Hall on Wednesday 15th and Friday 17th at 7.30 pm.  More details.  UoT Opera are performing Handel’s Imeneo in the McMillan Theatre.  There are shows on Thursday 16th, Friday 17th and Saturday 18th at 7.30pm with a matinée on Sunday 19th.  Details here.

Finally, on Sunday 19th at 2pm there’s a concert in the Mazzoleni Songmasters Series at 2pm in Mazzoleni Hall.  Jason Howard and Andrew Haji present a program of English songs.
