Things slow down just a little bit in June but with both Luminato and Opera 5’s Opera festival it’s not that quiet. Here’s what’s coming down:
- June 5th to 7th at Daniels Spectrum there’s Nigamon/Tunai; an exploration of Indigenous perspectives from North and South America (part of Luminato)
- June 6th at Metropolitan United Krisztina Szabó leads in Queen of the Night Communion, another Luminato show.
- June 7th, also part of Luminato, is Justin Grey’s Immersed at the TD Music Hall at Massey Hall. It’s a recorded piece featuring a truly eclectic group of terrific musicians played back over a 38 speaker Dolby ATMOS set up with visuals!
- June 11th Leaving Home opens at Coal Mine Theatre (preview June 10th). Runs to June 22nd.
- June 12th to 15th is Opera 5’s Opera Festival at Factory Theatre featuring a gala with their interns, Ryan Trew and rachel Krehm’s new opera Come Closer and the song cycle Elegies.
