The Wild Goose

A couple of months ago I reviewed Jennifer Nicholls’ film of Sweat by Anna Chatterton and Juliet Palmer.  It was the main feature in a double bill that also included an animated short from the Canadian Art Song Project of Cecilia Livingston’s arrangement of Wade Hemsworth’s The Wild Goose performed by Lawrence Wiliford and Steven Philcox with animation by students from OCAD.

It’s going to be released on-line at midnight on September 2nd but I got a chance to see a preview of the now cleaned up version.  And by “cleaned up” I mean that the canoeing scenes will no longer offer snark potential to persnickety canoeists!  They are now impeccable!  It’s really quite a charming little film with geese who are really much nicer than the obnoxious ones along the lake shore, even if they do steal one’s poutine.  The performance, of course, is impeccable.  The details are here.  That page will also include a link to the film as soon as available.
