Acadian soprano Suzie LeBlanc is crowd sourcing the marketing and tour of her new album La Veillée de Noël based on an old French songbook found in the now defunct Collège St-Joseph in Memramcook, New Brunswick. She’s looking for ten grand to finance the project. Details are here.
Is crowd-sourcing embraced by opera singers as well? I like the concept, I hope it takes. It might help singers make an extra £ as well as fans get some of those unusual arias you always imagined a singer you like would do well with.
I haven’t seen a lot of crowdsourcing but I can see it catching on for recording projects and indie companies.
