Casting details for Opera 5’s Halloween themed show, Requiescat in Pace, have been announced. The singing line up is soprano Lucia Cesaroni, American baritone and recent Tanglewood fellow David Tinervia and, making a welcome return to Toronto, baritone Adrian Kramer.
The show will consist of three Edgar Allen Poe based works; The Cask of Amontillado by Daniel Pinkham, La chute de la maison Usher fragment by Debussy, and the
world premier of Canadian composer Cecilia Livingston’s The Masque of the Red Death. All three pieces will be directed by Opera 5 Artistic Director Aria Umezawa, with Musical Director Maika’i Nash, and Production Design by Matthew Vaile. The Masque of the Red Death will be accompanied by the Toronto Pop-Up-Orchestra, with movement coaching by Natalie Brucker.
The show is at the Arts and Letters Club on Elm St on October 27th, 30th and 31st at 7:30PM. There will be Halloween-themed cocktails and closing night will
include a costume contest and dance party. Tickets are $30 ($25 students) from http://o5inpace.eventbrite.ca or at the door.
Should be good ghoulish fun.
